She Bangs Coffee
D steps up to the plate again this week with a review of She Bangs, at Albion. This kid cannot get enough of the cool coffee shops.
Normally I get my Merlo coffee most mornings while at work – it’s consistently tasty. Recently however, a colleague asked if I would like “She Bangs”. I had to do a double take just to make sure we were still on the topic of coffee. Once I realized we were, it was time to head out and try it.
Situated in one of the industrial back streets of Albion, one of the first things you notice upon entering is the big rustic communal table. I’m no interior designer, but the place seems to fit it in well with the industrial surroundings.
As I was there for just a quick work meeting I didn’t get a chance to try their small yet concise food menu. Although by now I do believe they are revamping their food menu and expanding their selections.
I went about ordering my customary flat white while my work colleague ordered a latte. Once the coffee came out and I had my first sip I learned, yes, she does bang. And very well in fact. The coffee was up there with some of the best in Brisbane. You need to try this coffee. (Side note: We should really do a coffee round up!).
The big open area meant that it was easy to have a chat with the barista. Which, given their good service, isn’t a bad thing! And for all of you out there wondering, no, Ricky Martin was not playing while I was there. So what are you waiting for? Head on down to She Bangs.
