New Sides and Sliders at Grill’d
For some reason, things are always tastier when they’re in mini form. Sliders are no exception – so how cool is it that Grill’d now offer four different varieties of these mini burgers?
We tried the beef, cheese, mustard, and pickle, as well as the chicken, pomegranate, and wasabi slaw (2 for $12). The beef was my favourite of the two – while I appreciated the different twist on the chicken slider, it needed a sauce or something to moisten it up more. The sliders are a decent size – I’d say two of them are the equivalent to one full burger.
Along with the sliders, there’s also new sides – Sweet Potato Chips ($8.80 for a large, $4.80 for a small), and Asian Slaw ($3.80). We tried the chips, and while they were different to what I was expecting (they’re more of a wedge, not really chip-like), they were hearty and tasty. Just watch out for the new Hot Chilli Mayo (70 cents) – D and I practically raced home so we could take turns chugging milk from the container. Seriously, this sauce is really hot.
I reckon the sliders are a welcome addition to the Grill’d menu. They’re a great alternative if you can’t decide between chicken or beef, plus you look way more elegant eating it than their full-sized counterparts. That’s always a plus!
